We are living in uncertain times. Core issues are surfacing in new ways, requiring our attention and care as we strive to make lasting change. Whether you’re looking for psychotherapy or Jungian Analysis, I seek to provide a nonjudgmental environment where you will be met with compassion and care as we work together to address the issues you most want to see change.
My work is informed by Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung. This means we will consider what is happening on an unconscious level to address underlying patterns and limiting beliefs that prevent you from living your life with more vitality and authenticity. We will consider the ways the unconscious offers creative solutions to old problems by listening closely to your story, and registering what emerges from your dreams, longings and fantasies. Individuation is the process by which we become wholly ourselves. This requires an acceptance of our fate, and an understanding of our adaptation, as we take responsibility for our lives in new ways.
Many people describe therapy as a deep process of coming home to oneself. It is also an exciting time of growth, change and revitalization. I believe in the strength of the therapeutic relationship to be a vital humanizing agent where such change can occur. It takes courage to start therapy, but the psyche responds well when we let the still, small, voice of the heart speak. As the late Maya Angelou often quoted, “A bird does not sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song.”
